Service Description
Yoga is considered to be the safest all-round exercise for pregnancy as well as an ideal birth preparation programme. Through movement, breath, visualisation and relaxation, you will re-connect with your power and trust your ability to birth your baby. Practising yoga during your pregnancy can help maintain (or even increase!) your strength and flexibility, reduce stress and anxiety, increase your energy levels, provide relief from common pregnancy complaints and ailments, and encourage an empowered and active birth. We will work on aligning the spine, strengthening the body, toning the birth muscles, loosening the hips and pelvis, and becoming calmer and more grounded, while learning about optimal fetal positioning, fear management techniques, active birth positions, and ways to optimise your health and wellbeing during pregnancy and when in labour. I will guide you through deep relaxations and visualisation techniques, and hold space for you to connect with your unborn baby. My classes are highly adaptable and inclusive of all abilities. You do not need to have any yoga experience or consider yourself to be "fit" to join. You can choose to pay-as-you-go (£13/class) or book a discounted 5-class pass (£55/block = £11/class).
